Join me (Jay) in the 2013 British Book Challenge hosted by Feeling Fictional! This sounds like good fun, and there are prizes involved! Yes, prizes!
Sign up is easy - head over to Feeling Fictional and follow the directions.
So what are we signing up for? Just read and review 12 books by British authors in 2013. That's it! If we ask very nicely, I bet we could even convince Nik to recommend a title or two.
So here are my picks for the first two months:
January: Miss Pym Disposes by Scottish author Josephine Tey (yes, my geography-challenged compadres, Scotland counts. I checked.) Tey (a pseudonym, actually) wrote slews of amazing mysteries that are both suspenseful and beautifully crafted. She had a knack for choosing exactly the write words and I find it impossible not to be drawn in hook, line, and sinker into the tales she weaves.
February: I'll do two kids' books this month. Operation Bunny by London author Sally Gardner and Billionaire Boy by David Walliams, another Londoner.

Welcome to the British Books Challenge! I hope you enjoy taking part and find some fabulous new authors :o)
